Scholarly Communication

Heard of metrics but not really sure what they mean? Confused about the advice you should be offering your research community? Join us for this introduction to metrics which covers the following areas:

  • What are bibliometrics and altmetrics?
  • What can they be used for?
  • What are their pros and cons?
  • What programs can I use to look up metrics?

This will be an interactive session so feel free to bring along a mobile device of your choice. Alternatively you are welcome to take away the information to work on later.
