Open Research

The HEFCE open access policy requires peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings to be made open access if they are going to be eligible for the next REF. Other funders also have open access policies that require research outputs to be made open access. The University has a dedicated Open Access Service, which can help you understand and meet your open access requirements. It also manages grants the University has received in order to pay publishers to make research immediately and openly available. If you have any questions or if you would like to know more about open access requirements and help offered by the University of Cambridge, come to an Open Access Information Session.

Open Access sessions will:
•    provide you with all the necessary information you need to know about your open access requirements for REF eligibility and your funders
•    explain how to use our service
•    allow you to ask any questions you might have directly to the Open Access team

Sessions are open to everyone:
•    principal investigators
•    postdocs
•    research staff
•    administrative staff
•    students

This session is being held in central Cambridge. Sessions at other locations can be found on our Events page.
