Our events aim to illuminate the changing landscape of scholarly communication, and to empower our communities to achieve the benefits of an open research culture in our institution and beyond.
We warmly welcome researchers, students, librarians and administrators across the University of Cambridge at every career stage.
Hear from the University of Cambridge's former Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Professor Anne Ferguson Smith, on why she encourages you to get involved with our events and networks.
Watch this space for a link to a recording and presentations from our 2025 Open Research conference and workshop, ‘Community-led open scholarship in Cambridge’, held on Tuesday 13 May at West Hub. This event focused on community-led publishing across the university. Cambridge has a flourishing ecosystem of DIY journals and publishing projects in all disciplines which this hybrid, day-long event explored. It offered speakers in the morning and a hands-on workshop in the afternoon to outline how community-led journals can use the Cambridge Diamond service to publish and make their content available for the long term.
