The way the Data Champions scheme works to the benefit of researchers at the University of Cambridge features in a recent Code for Thought podcast. This podcast, produced by podcaster Dr Peter Schmidt who has a science and software engineering background, looks at the champion schemes at Cambridge and Imperial College London as agents for change.

Dr Sacha Jones (Head of Open Research Services), Dr Lutfi Othman (Research Data Coordinator) and Clair Castle (Research Data Manager) are interviewed for Cambridge. They describe the way our 180-strong scheme has developed over eight years to reach nearly every department in the University, underpinned by the support of our two Research Data Coordinators. Future priorities include bolstering Arts and Humanities champions and reproducible research.  They are also considering reaching out to research software engineers.

The interview has been shared on the University Library LinkedIn account. Code for Thought podcasts are available on podcast apps or directly at Code For Thought
