The Research Data Team has recorded another episode of the Data Diversity Podcast, where they speak to Cambridge researchers about their relationship with research data, learning, along the way, a little more about the different experiences and journeys their scholarly endeavour may take them through.
In Episode 2, Research Data Coordinator Dr Lutfi Othman speaks to Dr Alfredo Cortell-Nicolau from the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research.
Besides speaking about his relationship with data and his stewardship for open research in the archaeology community, Alfredo also touched on the different interpersonal and even diplomatic skills that an archaeologist must bring to their research, and how their relationship with individuals such as landowners and government agents might impact their access to data.
Alfredo also sheds light on some of the considerations that archaeologists must go through when storing physical data and discusses some ways that artificial intelligence is impacting the field.
