Reproducible Research Cambridge & UK Reproducibility Network: Join as our new Local Network Lead!

Next term the University will officially launch Reproducible Research Cambridge (RRCam), part of the national UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN). More details: https://www.reproducibleresearchcambridge.co.uk

RRCam will be a grassroots initiative, championing improved research practices and culture across the University. We are seeking a Local Network Lead to drive these efforts forward.

Are you passionate about improving research rigour, reproducibility, and transparency? Do you enjoy building community across disciplines? If so, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on the University community.

In this role, you will help establish and lead RRCam as a University-wide network, coordinate initiatives such as socials, training and seminars, and engage with likeminded individuals within and beyond the institution. You will represent reproducible research efforts at Cambridge within the University and UKRN community, sharing knowledge and advocating for better research practices.

Please see the RRCam website (https://www.reproducibleresearchcambridge.co.uk) for more details about the role and criteria. As Local Network Lead you will commit approximately two days per month to this role, with financial support available. In return, this post offers excellent professional development opportunities, leadership experience, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We expect the Lead to be an Early-Career Researcher (Research Assistant/Associate, Postdoctoral/Research Fellow or PhD Student) and to plan to stay at the University until at least October 2026, to see through initial activities.

To apply, submit a cover letter, CV, and referee contact details to Dr Amy Orben (amy.orben@mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk) by 21 February 2025. Further details can be found at https://www.reproducibleresearchcambridge.co.uk.
